There is a direct correlation between the amount you invest in your roof and the length of warranty you get from Ruukki. Even a slight increase in your investment can result in an extended warranty, leaving you with a worry-free and longer-lasting roof, in which you may never have to invest in again. Ruukki’s steel roofs come in a variety of different variations regarding coating, shapes and warranties.
Your choice of coating will affect the warranty. Our best products with a Pural Matt coating offer a technical warranty of up to 50 years.
- Technical warranty: we guarantee that the product sheets will stay mechanically undamaged for the given period of time.

Roofing accessories, rainwater systems and safety products
The number of accessories (e.g. flashings), rainwater systems and roof safety products such as ladders and snow guards needed to finish your roof may vary and therefore affect the total cost.
Installation
The installation time required needs to be evaluated for each roofing project individually, and even though the material costs per square metre may be low, the installation can take time, increasing labour costs.
A particular benefit of steel roofs is their fast installation time: one sheet of Monterrey roofing sheet covers about 9 m2 but to cover the same area with natural tile sheet, the installer needs to use about 100 tiles, which takes time to install.

The shape and structure of your roof
If you have roof and bay windows, many chimneys or a steep roof pitch, these elements may increase the number of hours required for installation. Also your roof’s understructure may also need replacement and increase installation costs.
